AWS Announces a 7-Day Window to Return Savings Plans

In a landmark move for its users, AWS has introduced a policy that now allows customers to return Savings Plans within a week of purchase. This innovative decision opens up a pathway for users to manage their financial commitments more flexibly.

The Savings Plans, originally designed to offer customers a way to save up to 72% compared to On-Demand rates through one or three-year hourly spend commitments, now come with an added layer of flexibility. Starting today, if a Savings Plan doesn’t quite fit your evolving needs, you have the option to return it within a 7-day period.

This feature is now available across all AWS regions, except for those in China, and can be accessed through the Savings Plans details page within AWS Cost Explorer. This change underscores aws commitment to providing users with solutions that are not only cost-effective but also adaptable to their specific requirements.
